Did you know that during WWII, wool was in such short supply that the British Ministry of Information produced a booklet titled Make Do and Mend?
This little guide encouraged women to get creative and resourceful by unpicking old, unwearable woollen garments to reuse the yarn. Sweaters became scarves, and hats became mittensโall in the name of supporting the war effort and making the most of limited resources.
Have you ever unraveled an old project to create something new?
